T.J. Dillashaw defeated Cody Garbrandt by TKO in the first round of their match. Dillashaw used the post-match interview with Rogan to give our founder, Neil Riordan, PA, Ph.D., an enthusiastic shoutout after his victory.
In his 2018 shoutout, Dillashaw told the crowd and viewers all over the world:
“One thing. I have to give a big thanks to Dr. Neil Riordan! They helped me get to this fight. I’ve been through a lot. I went through a lot to get here and I wasn’t going to turn this fight down.”
And what a long battle it was. Dillashaw retired from the UFC in 2022 as one of the most decorated and accomplished fighters in the history of the sport. This included winning the bantamweight title twice and defending it three different times. However, there was a time when none of that seemed possible for him.
